I am gonna sound like a dick, but…

To everyone discussing the present nuclear situation in Japan and how it impacts the US/world. If you don’t have a technical degree or a background in power, more specifically nuclear power, please shut up. YOU ARE MAKING MY BRAIN HURT.

I have not heard one credible solution/opinion/whatever from the large majority of you. What has occurred is far more complicated than you can perceive. The solution to the worlds energy problem is far more complex than you pretend to make it out to be. (HINT: wind wont fix it and you don’t have the land for solar).

In short, shut up or turn off you computer/tv/lights/stop buying junk. We are working on it contrary to popular opinion.

Yours truly,

-Hunter

PS. Please donate what ever you can, time money etc, to help Japan.  It is a dire situation there and my thoughts go out to everyone affected.

“Then you know what dilutes the vote. Chief symptom: People don’t vote. Instinct tells them it’s useless.”
“Democracy is a stupid idea anyway!”
“We agree. It’s demagogue-prone. That’s a disease to which electoral systems are vulnerable. Yet demagogues are easy to identify. They gesture a lot and speak with pulpit rhythms, using words that ring of religious fervor and god-fearing sincerity.”
